Why use a professional handler?
Hiring a professional handler can have a number of advantages. Here are a few things to consider:
1. Professionals may do a better job. They may not show your dog the same way you would, but a professional's reputation is on the line every time that they step into the ring .
2. Hiring a professional is often more economical than you travelling to the shows.
3. Professionals are at more shows. The ability to travel is often critical to finishing a dog.
Once you have selected a handler, work closely with them. Be sure to listen to their input about diet, conditioning, grooming, and show scheduling. You are paying for their expertise, so use it. By the same token, you are the client. If you are not satisfied do not hesitate to talk with them about it.
Always remember that this is a three-way partnership between you, your dog, and the handler. And all three parties need to work together to achieve the success that you want.
